Israel to intensify push against Hezbollah

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel would intensify efforts against the Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Netanyahu spoke following the killing of another Israeli soldier by a fiber optic drone sent by Hezbollah, bringing the total to 11 troops killed since a ceasefire took effect, according to officials.

"What this requires of us now is to increase the blows, to increase the intensity. We will smite them with overwhelming force," he said on Tiktok.

Meanwhile Lebanon's health ministry said the death toll in the latest round of fighting between Israel and  Hezbollah has surpassed 3,000,  including women and children.

Fighting began on March 2 with the Hezbollah militant group firing at Israel, two days after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran.
