US President Donald Trump suggested that previous US presidents have mulled intervening in Cuba for decades, but told reporters It looks like I'll be the one that does it.

Meanwhile China's foreign ministry said they oppose external forces exerting pressure on Cuba.
It said the US should stop wielding the stick of sanctions and judicial measures against Cuba and stop resorting to threats of force at every turn.
Adding China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and national dignity and opposes external interference.
