President Xi invites Russian President Putin to visit China later this week

Chinese President Xi Jinping invites Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit China from May 19 to 20, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson announces today.
Putin hopes to discuss US President Donald Trump's recent visit to China with President Xi during the Russian leader's own visit there, the Kremlin said on Friday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin and Xi would focus on bilateral ties amid solid trade volumes, but also discuss international matters. Putin will also be meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
Putin's last trip to China was August last year, where he visited Tianjin and then Beijing, where he attended the Military Parade Marking 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
