The UK's King Charles III holds a special garden party at Buckingham Palace celebrating his charity's 50th anniversary.

This is the first Royal Garden party hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla in the 2026 season.

The guests including ambassadors, volunteers and beneficiaries of the organisation mingle and chat smilingly with the 77-year-old monarch on the steps of the palace amid the gloomy weather.

As celebrations got underway, the king joins DJ Christian St Louis and actor Idris Elba to kick off the music and has a go on the DJ desk.

In 1976, then-Prince Charles founded the trust with his Royal Navy severance pay in a bid to support young people launch their careers.

The King's Trust says it counts 1.5 million people across the UK and many more around the world who have been reached by its education, training and employment programmes.
