The government has announced the general holidays for 2027.
The first day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Sheep falls on a Saturday, February 6, and the second day on a Sunday. A holiday will be made up on Tuesday, the fourth day of the Lunar New Year.
Next year, Buddha's Birthday, the anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the day after the Mid-Autumn Festival all fall on a Thursday.
Taking a day off on Friday will allow residents to have a long weekend.
