President Xi hosts state banquet for Trump

President Xi Jinping hosts a state banquet dinner to welcome Donald Trump and his delegation this evening.
At the banquet, Trump invites President Xi and First Lady Peng Liyuan to embark on a state visit to the Untied States on September 24th.
Xi and Trump entered the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People at around 6 for the state dinner.
In the opening speech, Xi says this year marks the opening year of China's 15th Five Year Plan, noting that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and Trump's vision to "Make America Great Again" are not contradictory -- as progress can be made together with mutual success, while benefiting the world.
Senior executives in the US delegation reached the banquet hall.
In attendance too are Chinese corporate executives including Lei Jun, CEO of consumer electronics company Xiaomi.
Chinese officials at the banquet include Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.
