U.S. President Donald Trump departed for China Tuesday, for a high-stakes meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
The visit follows Trump's unsuccessful attempts to persuade China to influence Iran to meet U.S. terms to end the war.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told House lawmakers the ceasefire with Iran remains in effect despite recent exchanges of fire.
