Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that military actions in Lebanon had resulted in great achievements for Israel's security.
Netanyahu said the great achievements include the elimination of the rocket array that threatened the entire country, the creation of a security zone that prevents the possibility of an invasion in the north of the country, and now also prevents the firing of direct anti-tank missiles but also allows a change in the Lebanon situation.
This as some of the displaced from the southern suburb of Beirut and southern Lebanon expressed their sorrow and recounted their experiences. Some had returned back to their homes in the Beirut waterfront district only to be forced to flee again after a warning by Israel.
The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah was extended by three weeks Thursday after a 10-day ceasefire that went into effect on April 17 expired.
