Movie tickets in most cinemas across the city cost just 30 dollars today.
That's because today is Hong Kong Cinema Day, with all tickets priced at 30 dollars at participating cinemas.
Many people went to the cinemas this morning to buy tickets, but most screenings are already sold out.
Hong Kong Cinema Day is now in its fourth year, with 52 cinemas participating this year.
Tickets went on sale to the public starting Wednesday, with a limit of four tickets per person per visit.
The Hong Kong Theatres Association expects the event to attract 200,000 attendees.
