Jat Sew-tong appointed Competition Commission chair

Chief Executive John Lee has appointed Jat Sew-tong as Chairperson of the Competition Commission for a two-year term, starting May 1.
Jat, a senior counsel, had chaired the Independent Police Complaints Council and the Minimum Wage Commission.
The government also announced the appointment of seven new members to the competition watchdog, including economist Professor Terence Chong Tai-leung, while eight existing members have been reappointed.
