It will be Cinema Day this Saturday.
All movie tickets that day will be priced at 30 dollars.
Tickets went on sale at noon today.
The MCL cinema website had over 3,000 people in the queue, with a waiting time of about 30 minutes to enter and purchase tickets.
A total of 52 cinemas are participating this year.
Just like previous years, all screenings, including IMAX, are priced at 30 dollars. Each person can buy up to four tickets per transaction.
Fourth year in the running, the discounts are sponsored by the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau through the Film Development Fund.
