UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he made the wrong judgement appointing Peter Mandelson as country's ambassador to Washington after investigation reveals Mandelson's ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Starmer told lawmakers in the House of Commons on Monday that he did not have all the relevant information when appointing Mandelson.

The Prime Minster says due process was followed, but states he wasn't informed The Foreign Office cleared Mandelson's appointment despite not recommending he be granted security clearance after an intensive vetting process.

Stramer faces public scrutiny and the opposition's call to resign after information about Mandelson and Epstein's friendship surfaced.

Stramer is met with further criticism following his firing of Foreign Office top official Olly Robbins-- reports suggest Robbins did not have clearance to share sensitive vetting information with Stramer.

Robbins is set to give his version of events to the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee on today.
