Fu Shin Estate terminates contract with consultancy after triad-related scandal unveiled by ICAC

The Independent Commission Against Corruption earlier unveiled that Tai Po's Fu Shin Estate has been involved in a 160 million dollar-buildings maintenance scandal involving triad manipulation.
This as the estate has terminated its contract with the relevant consultancy.
The decision was made after more than a thousand residents in the estate held a special meeting on the matter.
Sources said the corrupt dealings were prevented from taking place after the ICAC intercepted triad infiltration.
This as some property owners raised concerns about the termination of the contract with the estate's current consultancy firm, given that they have to pay 220,000 dollars in fees owing to ongoing construction work under the company.
