Ahead of Sunday's parliamentary election in Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orban called upon Hungarians to vote for security, stressing that his opponent will drag his country into the war in Ukraine.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters in the city of Szekesfehervar, Orban said the finances of the Central European country will end up in Ukrainian hands if a Pro-Ukraine party wins Sunday's election.

The Hungarian prime minister has launched an aggressively anti-Ukrainian campaign, and portrayed Kyiv as an existential threat to his nation.

This as his right-wing Fidesz party has been trailing in the most independent polls to top challenger Peter Magyar and his Tisza party.

Most polls currently place Tisza with a double-digit lead over Fidesz.
