KMT chief Cheng Li-wen visits Beijing’s tech hub Zhongguancun

Today is the fifth day of Kuomintang Chairperson Cheng Li-wen’s visit to the mainland.

One of the morning's activities for the delegation was a visit to Zhongguancun in Beijing.

Cheng received a robotic hand as a gift. She said  Zhongguancun was one of the places she specifically requested to visit during this trip, hoping to explore the future development direction of Taiwan's pillar industries.

Yesterday afternoon, Cheng Li-wen visited Tsinghua University’s affiliated high school in Beijing, observing the school's artificial intelligence education technology and robotic applications.

In the evening, they went to the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing to watch a performance. Cheng Li-wen is visiting the mainland for six days at the invitation of Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping and will return to Taiwan tomorrow.
