Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday a 32-hour ceasefire over a two-day period for Orthodox Easter. His Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv will abide by the measure. The Kremlin said the Easter ceasefire would take effect from Saturday at 4 p.m. to midnight on Sunday evening. This as a Russian drone attack in the Sumy region of Ukraine injured two people, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported. According to local officials a five-storey residential building was set on fire. Several cars too were also burned. Rescuers were forced to halt work several times due to reoccurred threats of repeated strikes. Previous ceasefire attempts between Ukraine and Russia have had little impact with both sides accusing each other of violations.
