BTS kicks off 'ARIRANG' world tour in South Korea

South Korean supergroup BTS has kicked off their long-awaited comeback world tour to showcase new album "ARIRANG." Thousands of excited fans, known as ARMY, packed the Goyang Stadium near Seoul for the opening concert Thursday night.
Rianna Rogge, a BTS fan from Germany, said: "Oh, I mean, I think BTS is one of the reasons I moved to Korea. I've been living here for five years now and if there was no BTS, I don't think I would have ever ended up here. So I think they had a really big influence on my life."
Raghlee Victoria, who is from the Philippines, said: "Actually, BTS impressed me because I learned from them that we should love ourselves. From their music and their culture, how they bond together as their team or as friends."
The seven-member boyband will visit 34 cities around the world, including Hong Kong, for 82 concerts lasting through March 2027.
Their latest album topped the Billboard 200 chart for two weeks in a row, which set a new record for a K-pop group or artist.
