Addressing US President Donald Trump's earlier remarks on the US' potential withdrawal from NATO, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted that the US leader will meet with Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte for a "frank" conversation on the matter.

"They were tested and they failed, and I would add it's quite sad that NATO turned their backs on the American people over the course of the last six weeks when it's the American people who have been funding their defense."
