The government has applied to the High Court to confiscate assets related to offences under the National Security Law involving Next Digital founder Jimmy Lai.

The case is scheduled to be heard on July 8.

According to the Judiciary's website, the Court of First Instance will handle the application for a confiscation order on that day.

Lai was charged with three offences, including collusion with foreign forces to endanger national security.

He was convicted in February and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
