HKUST launches 5-year research on determinants of healthy longevity

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has launched a five-year study, focusing on Chinese seniors to uncover determinants of healthy longevity.
The research was led by HKUST President Nancy Ip. 500 Chinese elderly people aged 90 or above are recruited to participate, and they must be able to clearly express their informed information and agree to participate in the study.
Blood samples will be collected from participants and health check-ups will be conducted, and the research team will also collect information on participants' lifestyle habits through questionnaires for analysis.
The research results will provide a scientific basis for the development of personalised health management strategies.
