The sales ban of mini konjac jelly cups started yesterday.
But TVB News found that the products were still available for purchase at a Sham Shui Po shop.
Following our news report, the Centre for Food Safety says it had instructed the shop concerned to remove the goods from shelves and would prosecute the non-compliance.
After the ban came into effect, konjac-containing jelly products coming in cups with heights and widths of under 45 millimetres cannot be sold in Hong Kong to avoid choking incidents.
