Hearing on Wang Fuk Court fire continues

The Independent Committee on the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po continued its hearing at the Central Gallery on Thursday.

This was the eighth hearing and the last of the first round. Lam Man-yan, an engineering officer of the Wang Fuk Court’s management company, testified. 

Guided by a fire prevention representative, he said he had never handled fire equipment deactivation notices, as these were the responsibility of the fire prevention contractor. Lam added that he had never handled fire equipment deactivation notices since joining the company.
