Thousands of people have marched in central London as part of the "No Kings" protests across the U.S. and in Europe against the war in Iran and President Donald Trump's actions.

Washington, New York, London, Paris and Rome had protests, but there also were rallies in smaller cities and towns.

In London, demonstrators held banners with slogans such as "Stop the far right", "Stand up to Racism," and banner like "Don't let racist Farage and Reform divide the country," referring to Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK.

Singers such as Billy Bragg took part in the demo, and addressed crowds.

"I think we need to come together. One of the good things about this is it's not party political, this movement. It's people from all over, different parts of the world," Bragg said.

Demonstrations were also planned in more than a dozen other countries, from Europe to Latin America to Australia, according to Ezra Levin, a co-executive director of Indivisible, a group spearheading the events.
