The government is considering introducing a booking and fee system for popular campsites and a trial of the scheme could be rolled out in east Sai Kung.
They include campsites around Sai Wan and Ham Tin Wan.
Some camping enthusiasts support the idea, saying the reservation can improve the overall experience but they also raised concerns about difficulties in enforcement, especially against littering.
