A man driving a police's retired vehicle with flashing lights on and speeding pleaded guilty to four charges and was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months.

Last May, 29-year-old Lee Kin-wai, drove a retired police car in the early morning, speeding with five other vehicles.

Lee previously pleaded guilty to four charges. Chung Ming-sun, the Principal Magistrate of Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts did not accept the defendant's claim that it was an impulsive act. Lee was sentenced to ten weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months, fined HK$1,000, and suspended from driving for one year. He also needs to take a driving improvement course at his own expense.
