Cathay Pacific is extending the suspension of flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh until the 31st of this month.
Cathay Pacific said affected passengers can change their destinations and receive refunds.
Dubai and the Middle East are major transit points for many people flying to Europe and Africa.
A travel agency said if travellers need to transit through the Middle East, they would fly with other airlines.
The easiest way is to find direct flights, but supply is limited and tickets are expensive, at least four to five thousand dollars more.
Alternatively, travellers could find other transit locations, such as Thailand or Singapore.
