Norwegian police are investigating a potential explosion outside the U.S. Embassy in Oslo early Sunday.
Police received reports of a "loud bang" or explosion around 1 a.m. Local media reported minor damage to an entrance of the embassy.
People nearby said the street was blanketed in thick smoke following the blasts. No injuries were reported. Police are seeking to talk to witnesses as they search for any perpetrators.
PST, the Norwegian police security service, called in additional personnel following the incident but has not changed the country's terror threat level.
