Parts of Kansas City International Airport in the U.S. were being evacuated Sunday afternoon as authorities looked into a potential threat. An airport spokesperson said via email that the threat was first reported at 11.15 a.m. and the entire terminal was evacuated. He said flights that have landed since then were being held on the taxiway. The FBI said it was aware of the incident and its personnel were working with airport personnel and law enforcement officials to determine the credibility of the threat. The evacuation order was eventually lifted after 2 hours and the airport's operations returned to normal.
