Iran launches more attacks on Gulf countries as Israel strikes Lebanon killing 10

Iran launched more attacks on Gulf countries Monday, hours after Mojtaba Khamenei was named the country's Supreme Leader.

This as Saudi Arabia sharpened its warnings to Iran, telling Tehran it would be the "biggest loser" if it continues to attack Arab states.

Meanwhile Israel launched a series of strikes on Beirut. Its renewed offensive in Lebanon began last week after Hezbollah launched rockets toward northern Israel.

An explosion in Beirut early Monday. Smoke rising from the buildings as the tensions between Lebanon and Israel continue.

The Israel strikes were the latest after a series of attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut that started last week.

And at least 10 people were killed when Israel struck Sir al-Gharbiyeh in southern Lebanon Sunday. Local officials and residents gave a higher death toll figure
and said women and children were among those killed.

The mayor of the town said, "The massacre took place at 6 a.m. in a three-storey building where 14 people were killed and six were wounded. We are used to it. This is Israel, and whatever happens it will not impact us."

This as Qatar's prime minister said Iran had betrayed Doha by attacking Gulf countries and urged all sides in the war to de-escalate the conflict.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar's prime minister said: "Unfortunately, there are like, some justifications and pretext that they've (Iran) been using to justify these attacks on the state of Qatar and the other countries, which is totally rejected and no one will be able even, you know, to justify them. It is a big sense of betrayal."

He went on to say that the attacks by Iran should stop immediately. "First of all, our message to the Iranians, they should they have to stop the attacks right away. It should should stop instantly. What happened is really a huge shake-up for the trust in the relationship that we have with Iran. We will continue talking to the Iranians. We will continue trying to seek de-escalation."

Meanwhile Bahrain reports further Iranian attacks showing here damage at the University of Manama.

Bahrain authorities announced that the country had intercepted and destroyed 3 missiles and 13 drones launched from Iran on Sunday.

The National Communication Centre said 95 missiles and 164 drones have been intercepted and destroyed since the start of the war between the US-Israel and Iran.
