More Hong Kong tourists returned home from Dubai on Thursday after a second Dubai flight landed in the city. Dubai airports resumed limited flight operation after they had been temporarily shut down for more than 48 hours amid Iran strikes.

The flight that landed in Hong Kong was Emirates EK380. A Dubai resident, who travelled to Hong Kong for leisure purposes, said the situation at home was not as bad as people thought.

ROBERT, Passenger: "The government has intercepted all the missiles. Everything in the media that says it's not safe, it's not true. We were booked on Sunday, and we just kept rebooking."

This man said he was supposed to return to Hong Kong on Sunday. Depsite being stranded in Dubai for an extra few days, the man said he wasn't too nervous because Dubai authorities were transparant in providing information about the whole situation.

The flight also carried two tour groups: one from WWPKG with 20 people; another from Wing On Travel with 22.

As of 5 pm Thursday, the Immigration Department has received about 730 enquiries from Hong Kongers in the Middle East. Two hundred of them have left the region safely.
