Eight convicts of "Hong Kong 47" case applies for leave to appeal

Eight people convicted in the "Hong Kong 47" case have decided to take their cases to the Court of Final Appeal, after a lower court dismissed their appeals.
The eight applicants include former legislators Lam Cheuk-ting, Leung Kwok-hung and Wong Pik-wan.
They were convicted of conspiring to commit subversion in 2025 and received jail terms ranging from six years and six months to seven years and nine months.
They are still serving their prison sentences.
