Speaking to Hong Kong and Macao delegates ahead of the Two Sessions meetings, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office Xia Baolong wishes attendees from the two enclaves will have a better understanding of the 15th Five Year Plan's importance on their regions.
He added that they must understand "the great importance of the country".
Several National People's Congress and CPPCC delegates from the two SARs gradually arrived in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon.
This as the HKMAO director welcomed the delegations and urged them to serve their roles dutifully, stressing that attendees should adopt the spirit of the upcoming Two Sessions meetings.
He expressed his support for the high quality development of both enclaves and further integration of the two regions into the nation's overall development.
