Protests against the US and Israel's attack on Iran continued around the world.

This, as many of the Iranian-American diaspora expressed mixed feelings about the conflict.

Dozens of protestors gathered at Columbus circle in New York City calling on US President Donald Trump's administration to end military strikes against Iran.

Local media WABC-TV reports said the demonstrations, organised by a coalition of groups, were happening in about 40 cities across the US, with protesters opposing Washington's decision to go to war.

The protest comes as the US military announced the deaths of two more American service members, bringing the total death toll to at least six people.

Meanwhile, many in the Iranian-American diaspora have expressed mixed feelings about the US-Israel attack on Iran.

Roozbeth Farahanipour, Iranian restaurant owner in Los Angeles said: "I was one of the leaders of the student uprising in 1999. I was in jail, in prison. I was victim of torture. I got a death sentence from the regime. I came here, escaped the country. I never feel safe with this regime until they're going to be overthrown, but I believe that's the job of the people to overthrow this regime. I don't think that's the job of the other country to go and overthrow the regime and do the regime change completely. We opened the path, that's a good thing, but let the people finish the job, It's not our job to pick their own future leader for other countries."

Elsewhere, police dispersed dozens of Iraqis protesting in support of Iran near Baghdad's Green Zone.

Iraqi security forces fired teargas at the protesters who gathered by the suspension bridge, and were trying to enter the heavily fortified Green Zone where the U.S. embassy is located. The US embassy in Iraq is one of the largest globally.

Protesters in Iraq earlier marched to mourn the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed on Saturday by attacks from the US and Israeli.

Iran-backed Iraqi militias have claimed responsibility for attacks on US bases in the country in solidarity with Tehran.

Members of the Shiite Muslim community in Pakistan took to the streets of Karachi to protest the attack on Iran.

It follows violent clashes between protesters and security forces on Sunday which left at least 22 people dead as demonstrators supportive of the Iranian government attempted to storm a US Consulate.

Protesters, holding placards and banners denouncing the US and Israel attacks, demanded the release of those involved in attacking the consulate a day earlier.
