Chinese citizens in Iran have been evacuated but one citizen has died, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in its daily briefing. "As of March 2nd, more than 3,000 Chinese citizens have been evacuated from Iran," the Ministry spokesperson said. "Chinese embassies and consulates in neighbouring countries of Iran have dispatched a working group to the port to provide assistance to Chinese citizens evacuated."
"Considering the current severe security situation in Iran, we solemnly remind Chinese citizens in Iran to strengthen their own prevention and evacuate safely as soon as possible.""One Chinese national in Tehran was affected in the military conflict and passed away," the Ministry said.
MOFA has directed the embassy in Iran to provide assistance to the victim and the family.
