DJI files lawsuit against US FCC over import restrictions

Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has filed a lawsuit against the US Federal Communications Commission, challenging the import restrictions of new drone models.
In its filing, DJI says the FCC alleged its products pose a threat to US national security but failed to provide substantive evidence.
The company says the import restrictions involve serious procedural and actual flaws, and have hastily curtailed DJI's business operations in the United States.
Around late last year, the FCC imposed import restrictions on new drone models and key components manufactured overseas by two Chinese drone makers, including DJI.
Although the Commission lifted import restrictions on certain foreign-manufactured drones last month, the relaxation did not apply to Chinese-made drones.
