A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck off the coast of Yilan in Taiwan.
The earthquake occurred shortly after noon, with the epicentre located in waters off Yilan County at a depth of 66.7 kilometres.
Tremors were felt in at least seven cities and counties, including Yilan, New Taipei City and Taipei City, with the strongest intensity recorded at level 4.
Following the quake, some Taiwan Railways trains temporarily reduced speed as a precaution.
