Noon earthquake hits Xinjiang

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred around noon in Yuli County, Xinjiang.  

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the quake struck at 12:12, with a focal depth of 15 km and a magnitude of 5.1. The epicentre was located southwest of the regional capital, Urumqi. Internet users in Urumqi and other places said the shaking was clearly felt. No reports of casualties have been received so far.
