US President Donald Trump has arrived in Davos to join other high-profile government and business leaders attending the World Economic Forum that will last through Friday. Trump's helicopter touched down in the Alps ski-resort town after a 40-minute flight. He addressed the issue of Greenland and said the US is seeking immediate negotiations, vowing he won't use excessive strength and force in acquiring the Danish territory. Trump also said he loves Europe but claimed that the continent is not heading in the right direction and has become not recognisable in a negative way. He said: "It's the United States alone that can protect this giant mass of land, this giant piece of ice, develop it and improve it and make it so that it's good for Europe and safe for Europe, and good for us. And that's the reason I'm seeking immediate negotiations to once again discuss the acquisition of Greenland by the United States, just as we have acquired many other territories throughout our history, as many of the European nations have. They've acquired, there's nothing wrong with it."
