The Observatory forecasts the temperature to be about 11 degrees Celsius in the urban areas on Thursday morning, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. The maximum temperature will be around 14 degrees.
Many passersby strolled along the promenade in Central at night. Most of them dressed in thicker layer of clothing.
Weather authorities said the winter monsoon is affecting the coastal areas of southern China, bringing lower temperatures to the region over the next two days.
