A Cold Weather Warning is currently in effect. The Hong Kong Observatory forecasts cold conditions in the city during the morning and evening today, with temperatures in urban areas ranging between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to around 11 degrees tomorrow.

Scientific Officer from the Observatory stated, "Cold weather is expected to persist over the next couple of days, with generally cloudy skies. The minimum temperature in urban areas will be around 11 to 12 degrees, while it will be two to three degrees lower in the New Territories. Daytime temperatures will see only a modest rise. During the weekend, cool mornings are still anticipated."

The Observatory predicts that the monsoon affecting the region will gradually be replaced by a moderate to fresh easterly airstream from the weekend to early next week. Temperatures along the coast of southern China will gradually rise, though mornings will remain cool. Early next week, temperatures are forecast to range between 17 and 22 degrees.

The public is advised to stay aware of weather changes, keep warm, and pay special attention to the well-being of the elderly and individuals with chronic illnesses.
