Trump invites China to join Gaza's Board of Peace, ministry says

US President Donald Trump has invited China to join his Board of Peace initiative to rebuild the Gaza Strip, the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry did not elaborate further on Beijing's reaction. Trump is inviting individuals from around the world, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to be part of the board.
Meanwhile, Trump has threatened to impose 200 percent tariffs on French wines and Champagne if France's leader, Emmanuel Macron refuses to join the board.
Media reports say France intends to reject the invitation, to which Trump said: "I'll put a 200 percent tariff on his wines and Champagne, and he'll join, but he doesn't have to join."
