Hundreds of protesters marched in Davos, Switzerland on Sunday to protest the launch of the World Economic Forum where corporate chiefs and leaders including US President Donald Trump were expected to be in attendance. Protesters called for an end to capitalism and the wars that are accelerating climate change, and for a democratisation of the economy based on needs. "We have to stand up. We really have to stand together because I think if there is enough people understanding what is happening, we have the power and it's important just to be around," said Patricia Muhaem, a demonstrator. Some protesters came in solidarity with Greenland following Trump's threats to acquire the territory.
