Indonesian rescuers found suspected debris of a missing plane which is believed to have crashed on Saturday while approaching a mountainous region on Sulawesi island. 11 people were known to be on board the ATR 42-500 which was on its way from Yogyakarta to Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi province when it vanished from the radar. The plane was carrying eight crew members and three passengers from the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry who were aboard the flight as part of an airborne surveillance mission. A rescue team spotted what appeared to be a small aircraft window in a forested area. Ground and air rescue teams continued moving toward the wreckage on Sunday, despite strong winds, heavy fog and steep terrain slowing down the search.
