Financial Secretary: Hong Kong should enhance development as gold trading centre

Financial Secretary Paul Chan said Hong Kong should enhance its development as an international gold trading centre to improve the city's role as a super connector and super value-adder.
Writing on his weekly blog,Chan said Hong Kong Gold Exchange's average daily trading amount for 999.9 Gold reached 2.9 billion dollars as of last November.
Chan also said he would be heading to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting on Sunday evening.
He said the event will gather nearly 3,000 leaders from political, business and think tanks sectors. The secretary said he would promote Hong Kong's opportunities under the country's 15th five-year plan.
