Student injured by needle on shared bike seat

A 17-year-old girl was injured by a needle that was found on the seat of a shared bike in Tuen Mun.
Police received a report from the girl's parents at around 1 p.m. on Saturday, saying their daughter's elbow was injured by a five-centimetre needle inserted on the seat of a shared bike. The girl was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
The police contacted the bike-sharing company, HelloRide, who said the bicycle was last used in the early hours on Saturday.
Authorities have classified the incident as criminal damage and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
