Russian military takes control of five settlements in Ukraine

Russian forces are said to have taken control of five settlements during the week as Ukraine claimed intercepting multiple Russian missiles and drones over the past day.
The Russian troops carried out one massive strike and four coordinated group strikes against Ukraine's military-industrial enterprises as well as energy and transport infrastructure in the past week.
The Russian defense ministry said Ukraine and foreign mercenaries' ammunition and fuel depots, drone sites, and temporary deployment points were also hit.
The ministry added its air defense systems had shot down 21 guided aerial bombs, 14 U.S.-made HIMARS rockets, five long-range guided Neptune missiles, and 1,327 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that as of Friday afternoon, 27 of the total 97 frontline battles took place in the direction of Krasnoarmeysk, and that they have repelled multiple Russian attacks.
