All 40 fatalities identified in Swiss fire

Tributes continued to mount at a makeshift memorial outside a bar in the Swiss Alpine resort of Crans-Montana on Monday, after a New Year's Eve fire which left 40 dead and many severely injured.

Hundreds marched in silence on Sunday to honor the victims, gathering for an hourlong Mass at the Chapelle Saint-Christophe. Some exchanged hugs before marching up a hill to Le Constellation bar.

Forty people died and 119 were injured in the blaze that broke out around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police have said many of the victims were in their teens to mid-20s.

By Sunday evening, Swiss authorities had identified all of the 40 fatalities.
