Venezuelan President Nicolas has been seized and flown from the country, President Donald Trump announced early Saturday.
Trump's announcement comes after confirming that the U.S. forces conducted "a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader."
Speaking to reporters hours after Maduro's seizure, Trump told reporters the United States would run Venezuela at least temporarily and tap its vast oil reserves to sell to other nations.
Trump also claimed that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez had been sworn in as president shortly before he spoke. (January 3)
