Lowest temperature so far this winter recorded Friday morning

The Cold Weather Warning is now in force. The Observatory recorded a temperature of 10.8 degrees Celsius this morning, the lowest this winter.

Cold weather is expected in Hong Kong in the morning today and tomorrow.

The winter monsoon will bring cold weather to the coast of Guangdong today and tomorrow. The weather will be generally fine and windy over the region. 

With the monsoon moderating slightly early next week, temperatures will rise slightly over the region but it will still be cool in the morning. 

Dry replenishments of the monsoon are expected to influence Guangdong persistently midweek next week. Temperatures over the region will fall again.
