The Eastern Theatre Command of the People's Liberation Army has released a video on tactical manoeuvres that it carried out during this week's military drills around Taiwan. Under the name of "Justice Mission 2025," the People's Liberation Army launched a series of military exercises around Taiwan that started on Monday. In a video uploaded by the PLA, it demonstrates four core combat techniques -- long-range precision strike, time-sensitive target elimination, saturation attack, and blinding and destroying assault. In Beijing, the Taiwan Affairs Office said the military drills acted as a "stern warning" to Taiwan separatists and foreign forces. Zhang Ha, the office's spokesperson said the drills were a "necessary and justified defence of national sovereignty and territorial integrity." During the drills, Fujian Coast Guard carried out comprehensive law enforcement patrols off Matsu Islands. In the process, a Taiwan vessel addressed the coast guard in English. In response, the coast guard asked the vessel to communicate in Chinese, saying "both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one and the same China. We are all Chinese."
